Our primary goal in collecting personal information is to be able to improve our communication to you as a potential or existing camper, alumni, staff or parent. We may also use this information to make your visit to our website more productive, informative and entertaining.
The safety of children is very important to us. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. For the additional security of our minor campers and staff, we allow only alumni/staff/parents over 18 years old to have online "member" accounts. All accounts are approved by camp and/or website administrators.
Some personal information is gathered when you complete online request forms. We ask for your name, e-mail address, child's age and grade, address, city, state, zip code, and phone number. For employment information requests, we may ask for work experience, education, and references. We also collect personal information at other times, including (but not limited to) when you e-mail us about camp or job availability. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
In addition to camp information request forms, we ask that you register prior to accessing private areas of the website. Registered users who are approved by the camp directors will be provided with passwords to access the "member areas" (i.e., E-Mail Directory, Photo Gallery). Your name, e-mail address and other information will be listed in our E-Mail Directory and birthday calendar if you choose to display it. This information is available to be viewed by all other account holders.
Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone.
Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online - for example in the E-Mail Directory or through e-mail - that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
As a general rule, we will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information. We may, from time to time, send you e-mail regarding our camp and related services. If you do not want to receive such mailings, simply tell us (our contact information is at the bottom of this page).
Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, no website operator is permitted to require a child under the age of 13 to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity as a condition of participation. We abide by this requirement. We do not share personally identifying information about users who are under the age of 13 with business partners or other third parties.
