Dear BHEC Parents,
From the day they come home, they start talking about next summer. They're healthy, strong, content - more
self-confident than the day they left. And they can't wait to go back.
Does this sound like your child? We hope so. Between summers, we work hard to ensure these happy returns...
So what is this all about? Well, you probably know that BHEC is funded in part by the UJA. But did you know
that BHEC receives only 10% of its funding from UJA? Another 10% comes from private contributions. And a small
amount arrives by way of grants for special programming, such as sponsoring Israeli campers.

For 75 years BHEC, a not-for-profit camp, has provided unique summer experiences for Jewish adolescents and Jewish seniors.
Together they have shared culture and traditions and have created a lifetime of memories in a safe and beautiful environment
in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains.
We at BHEC are committed to the continuity of Jewish traditions and values. And, we know we have the ability during the
summer to leave a lasting impact on our children that will serve them well year after year, long after their camp experience has ended.

BHEC Giving Programs
Meet Your Match Capital Building Campaign
Meet Your Match II is a 1:3 capital matching grant program from Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF). Every $3 raised by
the camp from donors' gifts of $10,000 and more in support of capital improvements between September and December 31, 2007
will be matched by $1 from HGF.
Children's Scholarship Fund
Your gifts can enable us to provide camping for children who otherwise could not afford it.
Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)
The Parent Advisory Committee is comprised of camp parents whose purpose is to give feedback, raise money and make recommendations
to the camp and the Board of Directors. We love our parents and feel good about them being a part of our team. Your gifts can help
us enhance our programming through donations to facilities or equipment.
Jewish Programming
Your gift can support our intergenerational programs with our senior adults across the lake or allow us to invite "professionals"
in the field to share their talents and enthusiasm for our rich heritage.
The Garden Of Eden
A mural, which is hanging in our dining room, is a wonderful opportunity to honor a loved one, share a special occasion, or just
show your gratitude for your child's wonderful experience at camp.
Alumni Association
Each year our alumni help support special activities, select programs and the scholarship fund.
