Introducing our new Executive DirectorLinda Askenazi, MSW - Linda@BHECamps.com 
Linda finished a distinguished 25 year career as the first woman Hillel Director of Brooklyn College. Before and during her years at Hillel, she worked on all levels at day and sleep away camps from CIT to Director.
She is the mother of four grown children. Her husband Isaac, is a Sephardic Jew from Mexico whom she met 30 years ago while working on a kibbutz in Israel.Linda is a passionate advocate for building Jewish community that is inclusive, diverse and tolerant. She sees Berkshire Hills Emanuel Camps and its Adult Vacation Center as an opportunity to bring to children and adults what she brought to college students at Hillel - the joy of being Jewish and the beauty of respecting other people and their cultures. She loves the family feeling that she has already seen at camp and thinks that the culture that brings people back year after year is camp's biggest achievement. Linda believes that with great effort comes great reward. She invests in her staff and expects them to invest in their campers. And she will encourage all campers to come home proud of their efforts and of the new things they learned to do at camp. |
